Media Committee

We are your Peace Corps Cambodia Media Committee. It is our job to help share your story as a PCV and the stories of Khmer people and culture to the rest of the world #3rdgoal. This is accomplished over social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter and this website for more in depth content about our time serving in Cambodia. We can’t wait to see everything you do in the Kingdom of Wonder. Dont forget to tag #peacecorpscmbodia to show us what you’re doing!

Why is social media important?

“To help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.”

As Peace Corps Volunteers we have an opportunity to learn a new language, culture, country, environment and people but unless we share our experiences with those back home and around the world they wont know what we are up to, what we are learning or about all of the amazing people we have met. Social media is increasingly important in fulfilling this third goal.

Individually each PCV can do this through their own online presence but the Social Media Committee can help share your experience to a broader audience and help spread the world about Peace Corps Cambodia.

As you know Peace Corps applicants now get to choose which countries they apply for and ultimately end up going too which makes our social media very important to get the word out about how awesome the Kingdom of Wonder is and why they should join us as Peace Corps Cambodia Volunteers.

What can you do to help?

  1. When you start creating media content about your Peace Corps journey by letting us know! Tag/Hashtag (#peacecorpscambodia, #pck11, #peacecorps etc.), email us or send it to us individually. You will have the opportunity to be featured on our Facebook, this website and possibly have your content picked up by PCHQ.
